Ryan Reynolds    ...    Wade Wilson / Deadpool


In X-Men Origins: Wolverine speelde hij Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.
Nu krijgt Ryan Reynolds als Deadpool ook een eigen film.

Maar hij speelt volgend jaar ook al Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern.

De maatschappijen Warner Bros. (verfilmt bij alle DC Comics titels) en 20th Century Fox (o.a. bekend van de X-Men films) maken zich namelijk erg druk om Ryan Reynolds. Zoals ondertussen bekend mag zijn, is de acteur zeer gewild in Superheldenland. Aangezien onlangs bekend werd dat er al gewerkt wordt aan een snelle opvolger van Green Lantern en er mogelijk zelfs een trilogie in de pijplijn zit, beginnen de mensen bij 20th Century Fox zich zorgen te maken over de gewenste Deadpool film. Niet onterecht uiteraard, aangezien Reynolds al gecast is.

De Deadpool bedenker Rob Liefeld kijkt met argusogen naar de ontwikkelingen rondom de verfilmingen en tweet er flink op los:

Warner Bros. just trying to protect their investment. They don't want Ryan Reynolds playing Deadpool AND Green Lantern. Interesting 2 watch

Bottom line about Deadpool film is that if FOX doesn't pull the DP film together with Ryan Reynolds between GL films-they should Hari Kari Ryan

Reynolds is the new Will Smith, if FOX can't maximize this window of opportunity with this star, this character, that script=MASSV FAIL

Liefeld heeft dus zo zijn bedenkingen bij de huidige ontwikkelingen in het superhelden-filmland en de ondertussen veel besproken Deadpool verfilming. Fox zou op dit moment overigens in gesprek zijn met Robert Rodriguez om Deadpool te regisseren.

worden goede jaren voor super hero fans.

ze zullen niet allemaal super films worden maar actie en spektakel zal er genoeg zijn.

beetje zelfde met de transformers films.. geen top films maar genoeg actie en spektakel wat het tot een vermakelijke film maakt voor de avond te vullen

X-MEN spin-off Deadpool is likely to go into production in 2012 with Ryan Reynolds still attached to star in the project, The Geek Files has learned.
In what is exciting news for X-Men fans, those involved with the 20th Century Fox project are hopeful that Deadpool will film this year. In addition, we've heard that Hugh Jackman's second solo mutant adventure, The Wolverine, will definitely go into production in 2012.
Fan favourite Deadpool, the name used by smart-mouth mercenary Wade Wilson, was introduced in X-Men Origins: Wolverine with Reynolds in the role but the new film will reboot the concept so it's far closer to the comics. There has been talk that the script even sees Deadpool poking fun at his initial big-screen appearance, which will be portrayed as a work of fiction that isn't part of the film's own reality.
Although there's been no official news about Deadpool since Tim Miller joined as director last April, I have been hearing it's on the front burner and still viable, with Reynolds still attached to star. Reynolds has been actively involved in the script for what he regards as a personal passion project.

The actor has been filming another comic book adaptation, R.I.P.D, about an afterlife police department for dead cops, and then has a voice role in DreamWorks animated feature Turbo about a garden snail whose dreams come true after a freak accident.
Fox is also developing a sequel to X-Men: First Class as well as rebooting its Daredevil and Fantastic Four franchises. It recently emerged that Chronicle director Josh Trank is in line to helm the next Fantastic Four film.
Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld recently hinted, during an appearance at Amazing Arizona Comic Con, that he had viewed test footage for the Deadpool movie that showed the character in full costume with his trademark katana swords and guns in what appeared to be an R-rated film

To be honest, als het echt zo true to comics wordt, kijk ik misschien nog wel meer uit naar Deadpool met Reynolds dan naar Avengers.
